Unit Goal
このUnitでは、ドラッグストアで頭痛を訴える英語話者の来店者に対応する表現を学びます。症状の確認、アレルギーや服薬歴の確認、OTC鎮痛薬のすすめ方、服用方法と注意点の説明を練習します。

In this unit, you will learn how to help an English-speaking customer with a headache at a drugstore. You will practice asking about symptoms, checking allergies and medication history, recommending an OTC painkiller, and explaining how to take it safely.

Thank you. Well, in that case, I recommend “Head Sutto.” You’ll take two tablets at a time, and it’s best not to take it on an empty stomach. Try to have it with food or a snack, or at least a full glass of water. You can take it up to three times a day if you need it, but make sure you wait at least four hours between doses. This medicine has ibuprofen in it, and it’s made to dissolve quickly, so it should start working fairly fast. Just keep in mind that you shouldn’t use it if you have heart disease, kidney problems, or a history of stomach ulcers or bleeding, so if any of that applies to you, please check with a pharmacist or doctor before taking it.
